The Gospel according to Luke is the longest and most thorough account of Jesus’ life that we have. A key attribute of this gospel is the way Jesus is portrayed interacting with people of all kinds of backgrounds and walks of life, and showing them that he’s come to seek and save the lost. Jesus truly is for everyone.
Reflection Questions:
- Which type of soil (hard, shallow, crowded, or soft/good) best represents the current state of your heart, and why?
- What practical steps can we take to ensure that our hearts are “good soil” ready to receive and bear fruit from God’s word?
- How does knowing that Jesus’ family thought he was crazy at one point encourage you in your own faith journey?
- What words of God have you heard or received that you also need to put into practice?
