The Gospel according to Luke is the longest and most thorough account of Jesus’ life that we have. A key attribute of this gospel is the way Jesus is portrayed interacting with people of all kinds of backgrounds and walks of life, and showing them that he’s come to seek and save the lost. Jesus truly is for everyone.
Reflection Questions:
- What does it mean for you personally to “choose to accept the mission” that Jesus has given? How can you take a step this week to live more intentionally on mission?
- Reflecting on the “Challenges of Mission,” how do you typically respond to rejection or resistance when sharing your faith? What strategies can you adopt to stay encouraged and keep going despite setbacks?
- Jesus emphasized the importance of being agents of peace and forming genuine connections with others. What are some practical ways you can bring God’s peace into your relationships and community this week?
- The sermon highlighted the joy that comes from living on mission and knowing our names are written in heaven. How can you cultivate a deeper sense of joy in your relationship with Jesus, regardless of the outcomes you see in your mission work?
