With the world trying to figure out how to make the world a better place on its own terms, the author of Hebrews shows us that better is already available to us through Jesus. The overall question the book of Hebrews presents to us is: Why would we settle for good when we can have better?
Reflection Questions:
- What do you think it means to be a mature follower of Jesus?
- Based on what Hebrews says, would you say you are immature or on your way to maturity?
- Which of the six elementary principles mentioned in Hebrews do you struggle with (repentance, faith, baptism, laying on of hands, resurrection, eternal judgment)?
- What steps will you take towards maturity this week?
